The ZooTown Tri is in its third year and takes place in heart of the Missoula Valley. This race features a 500 meter swim in the newer Splash Montana facility. The pool is outdoors and is a 50 meter pool, although many have said it feels much longer. The bike course was changed in year two to a much more challenging 12.8 mile uphill climb into Pattee Canyon, then down and around The University of Montana. The 3.3 mile run is a flat course, circling the fairgrounds, onto Higgins, and then back to Splash Montana for the finish. This is a great triathlon Travis and his crew does a great job of making everyone feel great about their accomplishments. 

Post Race Wrap Up

The ZooTown Tri had another successful year with plenty of triathletes returning from previous years.  This years men's win goes to Geoff L" Heureux, with a new course record of 1:03:14.  The women's title went to Sue Huse with a time of 1:05:51.
